What Turnkey Means

One Contractor. Total Accountability.

A turnkey heat trace installation means Patriot handles everything — the engineering, the materials, the installation, the wiring, and the final test report. You hand us the scope, and we hand you a working, documented system.

Most industrial heat trace failures trace back to the same root cause: too many hands on the project. The insulation contractor doesn't know what the heat trace engineer designed. The electrical crew didn't get the panel schedule. Nobody owns the final test.

With Patriot, there's one team, one contract, and one throat to grab if something isn't right. From the first site walk to the as-built drawings, it's all ours.

Everything Included — Nothing Subbed Out

Detailed Scope

What Patriot Delivers on Every Turnkey Project

Each phase below is executed by our own team — no subcontractors, no handoff gaps, no version confusion between trades. This is what single-source accountability looks like in practice.

01

Site Assessment & Survey

We walk the site before drawing anything. Pipe specs, ambient conditions, insulation state, existing circuit condition — all captured and documented before engineering begins.

02

Heat Loss Engineering & Design

Full heat loss calculations per IEEE 515 / NFPA 70. Circuit layout, watt density selection, thermostat placement — engineered to your process requirements, not a generic catalog spec.

03

Material Procurement

We source direct as certified installers for nVent Raychem and Chromalox — the two dominant manufacturers in industrial heat trace. Right product, right spec, traceable documentation.

04

Installation & Circuit Wiring

Our crews handle the full physical installation — heat trace cable, junction boxes, end seals, terminations, and electrical connections. All work meets NEC Article 427 requirements.

05

Insulation Application

Heat trace and insulation are designed together — not sequenced by two separate contractors. We apply the insulation as specified for the thermal system, protecting both the pipe and the cable.

06

Control Panel & Monitoring

Integration with CIAC Systems monitoring panels gives your facility real-time visibility into every circuit — temperatures, alarm states, and fault detection from a single interface.

07

Commissioning & Testing

Every circuit is tested to spec before we leave the site. IEEE resistance testing, insulation resistance checks, thermostat calibration verification — we don't sign off until it passes.

08

As-Built Documentation

You receive a complete documentation package: isometric drawings, panel schedules, circuit ID tags, test results, and warranty records. Everything your maintenance team needs to own the system going forward.

+

Ongoing Maintenance Partnership

After installation, Patriot offers annual inspection and maintenance programs to keep your system performing year over year. Many turnkey clients move directly to a maintenance contract at project closeout.

We've Done This at Scale

Patriot has completed turnkey heat trace projects ranging from single-loop process pipe repairs to full-facility winterization programs at major power generation sites across the Northeast.

Why Patriot

What Sets Our Team Apart

In-House Engineering

We don't sub out the design work. Our engineers produce the heat loss calculations, circuit layouts, and panel schedules — then hand them directly to our installation crews. Nothing is lost in translation.

Mission-Ready Mobilization

Veteran-led from day one. Patriot moves with urgency and discipline — when a facility has a freeze event risk or an emergency circuit failure, we respond with the speed of a team that knows what "mission-critical" actually means.

Certified Manufacturer Partner

Patriot is an authorized installer for nVent Raychem and Chromalox — two of the most specified heat trace brands in industrial facilities. That means factory-supported designs and warranty-eligible installations.

Family-Owned Accountability

John Caruso, President and founder, is personally engaged on every significant project. You're not dealing with a regional manager at a national firm — you're dealing with the person whose name is on the company.

Integrated Monitoring Capability

Through our partnership with CIAC Systems, Patriot can include real-time heat trace monitoring panels with new installations — giving your team live circuit status, temperature readings, and fault alerts without a third-party integration.

Full Documentation Package

Every turnkey project closes with a complete as-built package — drawings, schedules, test records, and maintenance instructions. Your facility's records stay current, and your maintenance team inherits a system they can actually work with.

Industries Served

Where We Do This Work

Patriot has delivered turnkey heat trace installations across a range of industrial and commercial environments — wherever freeze protection, process temperature maintenance, or winterization is a facility requirement.

Power Generation
Chemical & Petrochemical
Industrial Manufacturing
Municipal & Utilities
AI Data Centers & HPC
Commercial & Institutional
Core Vertical — Power Generation

Power generation facilities are Patriot's deepest market. We've completed turnkey heat trace and insulation programs at major plants across the Northeast — Constellation Energy, Talen Energy, Vistra, and Indeck Niles — totaling over $7M in installed work. NERC compliance documentation comes standard: megger test results, as-built drawings, and circuit-level inspection records your compliance team can use immediately.
