The Electrical Scope That Completes the System.

Heat trace systems require licensed electrical work — power feeds, control panels, ground fault protection, and circuit documentation. When the electrical contractor is a different company than the heat trace contractor, things fall through the gaps: circuits get mislabeled, panel schedules go undocumented, and responsibility splits at the handoff.

Patriot handles the full electrical scope in-house. The team that sizes the heat trace cable also installs the control panel, pulls the power feed, and provides the circuit documentation your operations team needs to maintain the system. One contractor. One turnover package.

Beyond heat trace controls, Patriot's licensed electrical team handles power distribution, motor circuits, generator systems, and general electrical maintenance across industrial facilities in the Northeast.

Scope of Services

What Patriot Electrical Covers

  • Heat trace control panels — design, fabrication, and installation
  • Power distribution — feeders, branch circuits, panel upgrades
  • Motor circuits — starters, VFDs, MCC work, and motor connections
  • Generator systems — installation, load testing, transfer switches
  • Ground fault circuit protection for heat trace systems (NERC-compliant)
  • Electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and circuit documentation

Controls integration support via CIAC Systems where applicable. All electrical work is documented with as-built drawings and panel schedules in the project turnover package.

Electrical Capabilities

Full-Scope Licensed Electrical for Industrial Facilities

From heat trace controls to facility power distribution — Patriot's licensed electrical team handles the work that makes the rest of the system run.

Heat Trace Control Panels

Custom panel design, fabrication, and installation — ground fault protection, contactor assemblies, temperature controllers, and alarm outputs. Panels are built to the heat trace design spec and labeled to match the as-built circuit schedule.

Power Distribution

Feeder installation, branch circuit wiring, panelboard upgrades, and load center work for industrial and commercial facilities. Sized to NEC requirements, documented with single-line drawings, and built to last.

Motor & Drive Systems

Motor circuit installation and connections, MCC work, variable frequency drive (VFD) installation and commissioning, and starter replacements — across pump stations, process equipment, and HVAC systems.

Generator Systems

Standby generator installation, automatic transfer switch (ATS) wiring, load bank testing, and generator maintenance programs — for facilities that can't afford a power interruption during freeze events or operational upsets.

GFEP & NERC Compliance

Ground fault equipment protection (GFEP) installation and documentation for heat trace circuits — required under NERC FAC-001 and FAC-002 at power generation facilities. Patriot documents every circuit to support compliance audit requirements.

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Circuit tracing, breaker testing, thermal imaging, arc flash assessments, and electrical system inspections — planned maintenance programs and emergency response for facilities that need a licensed electrical contractor they can rely on.

Where We Work

Industrial Applications

Power Generation

Heat trace control panels, GFEP installations, NERC-compliant circuit documentation, and facility electrical maintenance at combined cycle, gas turbine, and renewable energy plants across the Northeast — our primary vertical.

AI Data Centers & HPC

Power distribution, generator and transfer switch systems, and electrical infrastructure for hyperscale and colocation facilities — mission-critical environments where every circuit is documented and every connection is made right the first time.

Chemical & Petrochemical

Classified area electrical work, heat trace control panels, and process electrical for facilities operating in Class I hazardous locations — installed to NEC Article 500 requirements and documented for compliance.

Municipal & Water Treatment

Pump station motor circuits, generator transfer switches, heat trace control panels for freeze protection, and electrical maintenance programs for public water and wastewater infrastructure.

Oil & Gas Processing

Compressor station electrical, wellhead heat trace controls, and electrical maintenance for gas processing facilities — including classified area work where intrinsically safe and explosion-proof equipment is required.

Commercial & Industrial

General electrical contracting, panel upgrades, motor circuit installations, and facility electrical maintenance programs for commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, and institutional properties.

The Patriot Difference

Licensed Electrical. In-House. Documented at Every Step.

Most heat trace contractors sub out the electrical work. That means two companies, two contracts, two sets of documentation — and a handoff where things get lost. Patriot is a licensed electrical contractor that also installs and maintains your heat trace system. The panel schedule matches the cable schedule. The as-builts reflect what was actually installed. One team accountable for the complete system.

In-House Electrical Capability Patriot holds its own electrical license — no subcontractor required for the electrical scope. The same crew that installs the heat trace cable installs the control panel and pulls the power feed, ensuring the design intent carries through to the finished installation.
NERC-Ready Documentation For power generation clients, NERC FAC-001/FAC-002 compliance requires documented GFEP on heat trace circuits. Patriot delivers circuit-level documentation built for compliance audits — not assembled after the fact from field notes.
IBEW-Affiliated Workforce Patriot's electrical team is IBEW-affiliated — trained to the standards that industrial owner-operators expect. NECA membership and 30+ years of combined field experience across the Northeast.
